1994 Present Neville Island Industrial Park, Pennsylvania. Evaluated potential environmental liabilities at former industrial ("Brownfield") property. Performed oversight of environmental site investigation and report preparation; negotiated Consent Agreement identifying contaminants of concern; negotiated environmental provisions in lease with tenant; prepared final report resulting in cleanup liability protection for developer/client, tenant, future tenants and successors-in-interest; assisted client in obtaining financing by explaining Pennsylvania Act 2 provisions and procedures to lender; providing continuing assistance to client as it develops other properties.
1999 Present Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Evaluation of potential environmental liabilities at former railroad property near Pittsburgh, PA on behalf of developer; solicited proposals from consultants for environmental site investigation; oversight of application for grants and financial assistance from development agency; negotiation of Consent Agreement identifying contaminants of concern.
1999 Present Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Counsel for residential developer where sellers failed to disclose buried storage tank; oversight of environmental site investigation and Act 2 report preparation; trial counsel for cost recovery litigation against sellers.
1995 Metal Manufacturing Company, Pennsylvania. Evaluated existing environmental investigations, reports, and analytical data on former industrial site in northwestern Pennsylvania; advised metal manufacturing company of options under Pennsylvania Act 2 law to acquire site and construct new facility while obtaining cleanup liability protection for existing contamination at site; negotiated Consent Agreement resulting in cleanup liability protection.
1990 - 1998 Former Printing Facility, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Evaluated solvent contamination liabilities for Multinational company, negotiated Consent Agreement identifying cleanup obligations and penalty, negotiated fixed price contract for bioremediation treatment; oversight of remediation activities; negotiated termination of Agreement after demonstrating compliance with "Act 2" remediation obligations.
1993 Steel Manufacturing Facility, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prepared notices and reports documenting compliance with Pennsylvania Act 2 provisions to obtain cleanup liability protection for contamination at former ammunition manufacturing facility on behalf of client who converted facility into steel manufacturing facility.
